Bowling Green Elementary School’s Bee Green Club and W.T. Clarke Middle School’s Student Government, with support from Sacred Heart Academy and Hofstra University, donated more than 700 pairs of jeans to Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green denim recycling program.
Through the program, the jeans collected by students will be recycled into denim insulation to be used for Habitat for Humanity houses in needy communities. The efforts among the schools emphasized the importance of charity and giving back to those in need, and provided club advisers and students with an unforgettable experience.
