East Meadow Budget Passes, Proposition #2 Also Approved

Thank you to all residents who participated in the 2015-16 budget vote and trustee election. The budget passed by a vote 4,619 to 1,350, representing a 77.38% “yes” vote. Proposition #2 (addition of full-day kindergarten) also passed by a vote of 4,019 to 2,048, representing a 66.24% “yes” vote. In addition, Brian O’Flaherty and Melissa Tell were elected to the Board of Education. The vote totals for the Board race were as follows: Brian O’Flaherty: 2,752 Adam Sackowitz: 2,570 Walter Skinner: 2,576 Melissa Tell: 2,608 Again, thank you to all who voted and for supporting our schools!
