Under the direction of advisers Christine Castro, Laura Papaleo and Lynn Richman, Chain Links Club members at Woodland Middle School created over 300 snowflakes for students attending the new Sandy Hook Elementary School facility in Newtown, Connecticut. At the request of Sandy Hook’s PTSA, students across the country were encouraged to design and send snowflakes to decorate the school walls in an effort to create a welcoming and peaceful “winter wonderland.”
The Chain Links Club at Woodland Middle School will continue the momentum of the lessons taught during the Rachel’s Challenge presentation. The club aims to start chain reactions of kindness throughout the school, while developing a more relaxed and positive environment.
