A total of 51 W.T. Clarke High School students honored on Dec. 16 at the school’s Math and Science National Honor Society Induction Ceremony.
Parents, friends and faculty were on hand at the special ceremony held in the school’s auditorium, where 23 students were inducted into the Math National Honor Society, 12 students were inducted into the Science National Honor Society, and 16 students were inducted into both societies.
Science National Honor Society adviser Janet Nickel-Evola offered opening remarks and Math National Honor Society co-adviser Tara Koebel welcomed attendees to the event.
Officers from both national honor societies, including Math National Honor Society President Siddesh Ramesh and Science National Honor Society President Ganesh Ravichandran, discussed their respective societies, explained the history behind them, and spoke about where they anticipate the groups are heading in the future.
New members were then officially inducted into the societies and pledged to continue to demonstrate excellence in character, leadership and scholarship during their academic careers at W.T. Clarke High School.
