Throughout the month, students, faculty and administrators at W.T. Clarke High School were able to brighten their days by visiting the school’s vibrant Garden Party art exhibit.
The exhibit, which ran until April 25, featured artwork by students in art teacher Shari Zimmerman’s class who are affiliated with the W.T. Clarke High School REACH program for students with autism. The exhibit contained approximately 30 pieces of artwork, including oil pastels, papier-mache and watercolor designs.
In addition, the students established their own business, Sweet Art Cards, in which they created artwork for greeting cards and sold the cards to the school community throughout the month.
The exhibit provided students with a rewarding outlet to express themselves through art and allowed them to strengthen their motor and social skills in a positive environment.
