The East Meadow School District is pleased to announce that Shamoon Rizvi and Shujat Khan, both sophomores at East Meadow High School, finished in the top 30 percent of their category at the Long Island Science and Engineering Fair (LISEF), and were asked to return for round two with their project “The Effects of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Fibers on the Water Retention of Concrete.”
Additionally, Japbani Nanda, a junior at W.T. Clarke High School made it to round two of the LISEF, with her project “Adding Some Spice to the Study of Neurodegeneration.”
